About Sonas Prints

Hi, I'm Breanna, I'm 23, I'm from Sligo, and I hand-print every single piece you'll find on this site.

Sonas started around St. Patrick's Day 2025, in my final year of college in Galway. I wanted something cool to wear that wasn't super touristy- something I'd actually reach for again after. Something that felt genuinely Irish without being a caricature of what Irishness really is.

So I made some tees for myself and my friends. And then strangers started asking where they were from.

That's where it all began.

The West in Everything

Growing up in Sligo and spending my college years on the west coast shaped everything about this brand. The colours, the symbols, the feeling. The Atlantic is in the texture of it. The Claddagh, for me, isn't just a symbol. I wear two Claddagh rings every day: one given to me by my mum to carry through the generations, and one she gave me for my 21st birthday. That kind of meaning is what I want Sonas to carry too.

Made by Hand, Every Time

Every piece is lino-printed by me, by hand. That means no two are exactly alike, and every order takes real time and care. It's slow on purpose. It's the opposite of fast fashion, and that's exactly the point.

Sonas is an Irish word for happiness, contentment, good fortune. That's what I hope you feel when you wear our pieces.
